The way this planner is laid out is more than perfect for me! I love the design - it gives me all the feels of a paper planner I'd buy for myself, enough color to keep me interested, and plenty of space to write notes in different fonts and sizes. I'm a visual learner and usually have to take a lot of notes for me to remember details. I used it for 4 years and yes it was organized and helped me get things done but oh my GOD I hated using it! It was so bland and boring I never wanted to use it. The best app I found before this was Things 3. I always knew I would benefit from excellent planning, but never had the right tool to help me. I am self-employed and have to juggle many hats at once. I am someone who has struggled for over 15 years to find a planner that works for me. The developers are actively improving the platform in response to users. The result is a daily list of tasks that is achievable, which gives you a sense of accomplishment for completing a days work instead of guilt for not completing a list that couldn't reasonably fit into your day anyway. The dayplanner tab enables you to schedule those steps so that, instead of an endless 'to do' list, you schedule the important things you need to accomplish instead of trying to fit them into each day on the fly. The other tabs are for you to articulate your personal missions in life, the roles you fill, the goals you have, and the steps to achieve those goals. The dayplanner is only 20% of the interface. Beyond the technical merit, Opus One is about improving the quality of life, not just organization and efficiency. It is phenomal that the program ('app' doesn't do it justice) is seemlessly crossplatform and scales beautifully between desktop, tablet, and phone. was great when it worked.Opus One is the embodiment of an old-school paper dayplanner with the benefit of calendar synchronization and cloud backup. Being able to move tasks from one day to another, change the status, have an ongoing master list, etc. Would have paid for a working version of this in a heart beat. Sadly, I can't get through to this app's online support either. I am still looking for another version of this app made by someone else.

I'm not spending money to buy the pro version if the free version doesn't even work properly. I read the other reviews and decided to take a chance as I NEED this app - but sadly I arrived at the same place of disappointment and frustration as others. So, every day going forward looks the same. But, now every time I add a task it makes the task repeat indefinitely, without creating a repeat rule. It's a digital form of the planner that keeps a person's daily life organized - using the A1,2,3 B1,2,3, C1,2,3 prioritizing method. I love the fact that this app works like a paper planner book and gives functionality no other app on the market seems to do. If anyone can suggest something to track To Dos, Appointments AND Contacts, other than Act, please comment. This is what I need and would be willing to pay for it if it worked. Tech support did not respond when I submitted a ticket. I've tried shutting down both apps and restarting, checking sync settings (not that they are documented). Sometimes things sync, but most often, they don't. I need to input To dos and appointments in the iPad, because of the larger screen and visibility of the right-hand notes page, but I need to view, edit and manage these items in my iPhone 5 while I'm in the field. The main problem with the app (for my purposes) is syncing between iPad and iPhone. The documentation is attractive, but after jumping back and forth to the Table of Contents, I found the procedural flow disorganized, and the app does NOT work as documented. Love the visual layout and think it has the ability to be an incredible tool, but it doesn't sync between devices- even iDevices.
